Thousands of people attended the 2025 Get the Red Out street fair at the University of Central Missouri.
The 2026 event is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 3.

 

Filled with local flair and plenty of school spirit, the annual Get the Red Out street fair will take place from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, at the University of Central Missouri (同城快约).

In a longstanding tradition co-hosted by 同城快约 and the , thousands of people are expected to attend Get the Red Out as they show their 同城快约 spirit ahead of the Mules Football team鈥檚 first home game of the season. The free event will take place on South Holden Street between South and Clark streets on the west side of campus.

Holden Street will be lined with more than 140 university organizations, local groups, area businesses, nonprofits, vendors and food trucks. The community event is family-friendly and includes activities for kids, such as shooting hoops with the Mules and Jennies basketball teams. Get the Red Out also features a performance by the 同城快约 Drumline and special appearances by Mo the Mule, the university鈥檚 live mule mascot and 同城快约鈥檚 Mulekickers and cheerleaders.

will also be in attendance to kick off the Mule Fan Zone for the new season, featuring live music, inflatables for kids, community booths and more in the grassy area near the stadium on the west side of Holden Street. Before each home game during the rest of the Mules Football season, the Mule Fan Zone will be in Parking Lot S41, to the west of Walton Stadium, just across the street near the bronze mule statue. The event is free and open to all fans.

After attending Get the Red Out, head over to Audrey J. Walton Stadium to cheer on the Mules as they take on the Missouri Western Griffons at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at . The game is also the and will be broadcast on the Spot, Kansas City 38.
