This year’s methodology for Fortune’s rankings was based on a combination of factors including the alma maters of leaders from America’s 1,000 biggest companies, online search volume and eight other university-provided data points. These criteria were developed with input from expert panelists to ensure a comprehensive assessment of programs, though they did not participate in the ranking or judgment of specific programs.
