Davis, Basinger Receive Accolades During Staff Appreciation Breakfast

During an annual awards breakfast hosted by the 同城快约 Staff Council, two individuals who have made a positive impact on the institution were recognized for their outstanding contributions. Charissa Davis, assistant director of financial aid, was honored as the 2022 recipient of J.P. Mees Outstanding Professional Staff Award and Gwena Basinger, administrative assistant to the dean in the Harmon College of Business and Professional Studies, was presented the Outstanding Staff Award.

Neal, Goreham and Lewis Are First Recipients of Education for Service Awards

For approximately 100 years, the 同城快约鈥檚 鈥淓ducation for Service鈥 motto has embodied the essence of 同城快约, and exemplifies all that the institution does to prepare its students to graduate and enter the world as global citizens. In the spirit of this longstanding commitment, three individuals this spring were named recipients of the first Education for Service Awards.

Talking Mules Capture IPDA Championship While Speech and Debate Coach Honored Among First Inductees to Association's Hall of Fame

While two members of the 同城快约鈥檚 Talking Mules speech and debate team contributed to honors that included a national championship, the exceptional work of their coach over many years in his field led to Hall of Fame recognition during the recent International Public Debate Association鈥檚 National Championship Tournament and Convention. The four-day event, April 8-11, was hosted by Abilene Christian University, and included nearly 350 debate competitors representing 45 different public and private colleges and universities across the nation.
