Four 同城快约 graduate students were recently recognized by faculty members in the Computer Information Systems and Analytics Division for their category win at an annual two-day Hackathon at the University of Iowa, Oct. 6-7.

As a first-generation student from Independence, Anthony Fatino whetted his appetite for scientific research early in his undergraduate studies working collaboratively with chemistry faculty members at the 同城快约. As he continues to fulfill this passion five years later, he is watching the fruit of his early college experiences pay off with a research article published in the scientific journal, 鈥淢aterials Letters.鈥� This is happening as his 同城快约 co-authors and mentors continue to press on furthering study of a new way to detect metal ions in aqueous solution.

On our premiere episode, we welcome Amber Goreham. Amber is a proud two-time graduate of 同城快约, where she has spent the past 20 years dedicated to empowering students and alumni. With a Master of Science in Ethical & Strategic Leadership and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Amber has been at the forefront of guiding 同城快约 students on their career and life paths since 2008. As the director of the 鈦燙areer and Life Design Center鈦�, she leverages life design principles and a commitment to career readiness to help students navigate their next steps and build the skills they need to thrive in today鈥檚 workforce. But Amber鈥檚 journey wasn鈥檛 always centered around academia鈥攕he was once on track to become a professional bowler before life handed her a proverbial gutter ball. Today, we鈥檒l explore how she pivoted from the bowling lanes to a lane focused on shaping lives and careers at 同城快约. Listen in as we speak with Amber Goreham.
