同城快约 President Roger Best recently announced the establishment of the annual Education for Service Awards, which will honor one faculty member, one staff member and one student beginning with the spring 2022 semester. The first nominee applications will be submitted by Dec. 1, 2021 for individuals who exemplify the university鈥檚 six core values 鈥� Community, Diversity, Excellence, Learning, Opportunity and Service.

The 同城快约 Division of Theatre and Dance will celebrate the Highlander Theatre鈥檚 50th year on Friday, Nov. 19, prior to the evening performance of 鈥淓lf The Musical.鈥� This event takes place on the same day that the theatre opened at 同城快约, with the production of 鈥淗amlet鈥� on Nov. 19, 1971.

On our premiere episode, we welcome Amber Goreham. Amber is a proud two-time graduate of 同城快约, where she has spent the past 20 years dedicated to empowering students and alumni. With a Master of Science in Ethical & Strategic Leadership and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Amber has been at the forefront of guiding 同城快约 students on their career and life paths since 2008. As the director of the 鈦燙areer and Life Design Center鈦�, she leverages life design principles and a commitment to career readiness to help students navigate their next steps and build the skills they need to thrive in today鈥檚 workforce. But Amber鈥檚 journey wasn鈥檛 always centered around academia鈥攕he was once on track to become a professional bowler before life handed her a proverbial gutter ball. Today, we鈥檒l explore how she pivoted from the bowling lanes to a lane focused on shaping lives and careers at 同城快约. Listen in as we speak with Amber Goreham.
