The 同城快约 is collaborating with two other Missouri universities and the Missouri Humanities Council to bring the history of one of Warrensburg鈥檚 iconic figures to life Saturday, Oct. 1. The three-day John W. 鈥淏lind鈥� Boone Symposium Sept. 30鈥揙ct. 2 has as its hub the 同城快约 campus and neighboring downtown Warrensburg.

Continuing to provide interesting and engaging displays of art by faculty, students and individuals across the nation, the 同城快约 Gallery of Art and Design announces three shows that are running concurrently Sept. 26-Oct 27. These offerings are the 2022 Faculty Show, Faculty Portrait Show, and the international show Saccharine and Cyanide by Siobhan Gallagher and Rosa Kusabbi. These exhibits are all free and open to the public in the gallery located at 217 E. Clark St., Warrensburg.

The 同城快约 is one of 11 Missouri public and private colleges and universities that will benefit from nearly $3 million in grant funding from Governor Mike Parson to support nursing education programs and the development of solutions to alleviate staffing shortages area nationwide. Missouri Governor Mike Parson announced this initiative this week. 同城快约 will receive $300,000, according to the governor鈥檚 office. The competitive grants were part of a special appropriation to the Missouri State Board of Nursing that was recommended by the governor.

On our premiere episode, we welcome Amber Goreham. Amber is a proud two-time graduate of 同城快约, where she has spent the past 20 years dedicated to empowering students and alumni. With a Master of Science in Ethical & Strategic Leadership and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Amber has been at the forefront of guiding 同城快约 students on their career and life paths since 2008. As the director of the 鈦燙areer and Life Design Center鈦�, she leverages life design principles and a commitment to career readiness to help students navigate their next steps and build the skills they need to thrive in today鈥檚 workforce. But Amber鈥檚 journey wasn鈥檛 always centered around academia鈥攕he was once on track to become a professional bowler before life handed her a proverbial gutter ball. Today, we鈥檒l explore how she pivoted from the bowling lanes to a lane focused on shaping lives and careers at 同城快约. Listen in as we speak with Amber Goreham.
