The 同城快约 Faculty Senate Teaching and Research Conference is supported by the Faculty Senate and the Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. The theme for this year鈥檚 conference on Monday, Sept. 18 is 鈥淪trengthening Our Practice; Empowering Our Students.鈥� This one-day event includes 20 breakout sessions, conducted by university faculty members; a discussion event with topic-based tables; and free box lunch and coffee stations all day.

After many college and university students begin their higher education the pathway to earning a degree may take them to multiple campuses before they have diploma in hand. Through a recent statewide appointment, Phil Bridgmon, provost and vice president for academic affairs at the 同城快约, is now in a position to help impact the smooth transfer and articulation of Missouri students who seek a higher education.

The 同城快约 is filling a vital position in the area of academic leadership with the appointment of Timothy R. Crowley, Hays, Kansas, as the Vice Provost for Academic Programs and Dean of Graduate Studies and Research. Crowley begins his new duties April 1.
