WARRENSBURG, MO – The ͬ³Ç¿ìÔ¼ student chapter of the American
Institute of Building Design has been recognized as the AIBD Student Chapter of the
Year for the second consecutive year.
ͬ³Ç¿ìÔ¼ AIBD chapter members celebrating the Chapter of the

Under the leadership of ͬ³Ç¿ìÔ¼ alumna Alix Calon, who was president of the ͬ³Ç¿ìÔ¼ chapter
of AIBD during the 2015-16 and 2016-17 school years, AIBD held the first annual ͬ³Ç¿ìÔ¼
Build and Design Day at ͬ³Ç¿ìÔ¼ in March 2016. Calon coordinated the event, bringing students
together with professionals in the residential design industry to network. The ͬ³Ç¿ìÔ¼
chapter also hosted the event in April 2017.
The annual event is available to all ͬ³Ç¿ìÔ¼ students, as well as students invited to
attend from regional high schools, technical colleges and universities. The goal of
the conference is to reach all students interested in or currently pursuing a degree
in architectural drafting and technology, interior design, construction management,
and engineering.
