Talking Mules Ranked Ninth By International Public Debate Association

As the Talking Mules speech and debate team prepares for a tournament this weekend in Nashville, Tennessee, followed by the Montgomery Cup in Great Britain later within the next three weeks, success in recent events has contributed to the 同城快约 team鈥檚 ninth-place ranking by the International Public Debate Association (IPDA).

Talking Mules Capture IPDA Championship While Speech and Debate Coach Honored Among First Inductees to Association's Hall of Fame

While two members of the 同城快约鈥檚 Talking Mules speech and debate team contributed to honors that included a national championship, the exceptional work of their coach over many years in his field led to Hall of Fame recognition during the recent International Public Debate Association鈥檚 National Championship Tournament and Convention. The four-day event, April 8-11, was hosted by Abilene Christian University, and included nearly 350 debate competitors representing 45 different public and private colleges and universities across the nation.

Rogers will Receive Highest Faculty Honor, the Byler Award

As a longtime 同城快约 professor of communication, Jack Rogers, Ph.D., has developed a reputation for being an outstanding teacher and mentor, while also having a passion for speech and debate that is internationally known. These are just a few of many qualities that contribute to his nomination and selection as the 2022 recipient of the Byler Distinguished Faculty Award, the highest honor given to a 同城快约 faculty member.
