Return With Purpose, a free workshop that will help military personnel and veterans identify barriers in order to make a smooth transition from active duty to civilian life, is planned for 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, at the 同城快约. Registration is now being accepted for the one-day session, which takes place in Room 235 of the Elliott Student Union.

Kansas City educator and nationally recognized speaker and consultant Cynthia 鈥淢ama J鈥� Johnson will be the keynote speaker for the 同城快约鈥檚 annual Freedom Scholarship Dinner, planned for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016, in the Elliott Student Union ballroom. The event is the highlight of the university鈥檚 annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. celebration, 鈥淓quality and Education Still Matter.鈥�

The Central Missouri Policy Academy at the 同城快约 obtained critical new equipment this semester for safer student training of defensive tactics. A 同城快约 Alumni Foundation Opportunity Grant funded the purchase of a full instructor鈥檚 RedMan Suit and 24 padded training batons. Unrestricted gifts from donors made the grant possible.
